Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using the NASENI Staff Verification System

1. Introduction

Welcome to the NASENI Staff Verification System. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the NASENI Staff Verification System ("the System"), operated by the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure ("NASENI", "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using the System, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the System.

2. Eligibility

Access to this System is restricted to:

  • Current employees of NASENI and its affiliated institutes
  • Authorized personnel with valid @naseni.gov.ng email addresses
  • Individuals with approved administrative access levels
  • Contract staff with valid engagement letters from NASENI

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and keep your account information updated.

3. Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the System and for any activities or actions under your password. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party.

You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account. NASENI reserves the right to disable any user account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms.

4. Data Accuracy and Integrity

When using the System, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information in all profile fields
  • Update your profile promptly when your information changes
  • Upload only valid and authentic supporting documents
  • Not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Certify that all information provided is true and correct to the best of your knowledge

Any falsification of information may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to suspension of system access and potential legal proceedings.

5. Privacy and Confidentiality

The personal information you provide is subject to our Privacy Policy. By using the System, you consent to the collection and use of information as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

You agree to maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive information you may access through the System, including but not limited to:

  • Personal data of other employees
  • Internal organizational information
  • Verification and audit records
  • System-generated reports and analytics

6. Verification Process

All profile submissions are subject to a multi-level verification process:

  • HOD Verification: Head of Department review and approval
  • Admin Verification: Institute/Administrative verification
  • ICT Verification: Technical and system validation
  • Accounting Verification: Financial and payroll verification
  • Audit Verification: Internal audit review
  • HR Admin Verification: Human Resources final review
  • Team Lead Approval: Final authorization

You agree to cooperate with all verification requests and provide additional documentation if required.

7. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  • Attempting to access areas of the System you are not authorized to access
  • Interfering with or disrupting the System or servers
  • Uploading viruses, malware, or other malicious code
  • Using automated systems or software to extract data
  • Impersonating another person or entity
  • Sharing your login credentials with others
  • Using the System for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Modifying or attempting to modify system data without authorization

8. System Availability

We strive to maintain the System available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The System may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance and updates
  • Technical issues or system failures
  • Force majeure events beyond our control

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of scheduled maintenance in advance.

9. Intellectual Property

The System and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of NASENI. The System is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on our System without prior written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall NASENI, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the System
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the System
  • Any content obtained from the System
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.

What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our System after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
